1. Acceptance
These terms are a legal agreement between you and Justibly. Creating an account, submitting a review, claiming a profile or sending an enquiry constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Who can use Justibly
You must be at least 18 years old. If you're using Justibly on behalf of a firm or organisation, you warrant that you have authority to bind it. We may refuse or close accounts at our discretion.
3. Not legal advice
Information on Justibly - including Q&A answers from attorneys - is general information, not legal advice for your specific situation. An attorney-client relationship is only formed when an attorney agrees in writing to represent you. Justibly itself does not provide legal advice or services, and is not a substitute for consulting a licensed attorney.
4. Directory data
Attorney listings are sourced from the public Legal Practice Council register and from claim submissions. We take reasonable steps to keep data accurate but do not warrant that every listing is current or complete. If you spot an error, email [email protected].
5. Your account
- Keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- Don't share accounts or impersonate another person.
- You are responsible for activity on your account, including content you post.
6. User content
You keep ownership of content you post (questions, answers, reviews, profile bios). You grant Justibly a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content as part of operating the site. Our Community Guidelines apply to all posts.
7. For attorneys and firms
- Advertising rules. Everything on your profile and in your answers must comply with the LPC Code of Conduct, including the rules on advertising, touting and professional dignity. You are solely responsible for compliance.
- Accuracy. Bios, qualifications, practice areas and disciplinary disclosures you provide must be truthful. Misrepresentation may result in account closure and a referral to the LPC.
- Paid features. Premium subscriptions unlock booking, featured placement and analytics. The amount and terms are set out at checkout. Paid features never influence the Justibly Trust Score.
- Fee-sharing and referral fees. You must not offer or accept payment for case referrals in violation of South African legal ethics rules.
8. Prohibited use
You must not:
- scrape, bulk-download or mirror Justibly content without our written permission;
- post false reviews, spam, malware or content that infringes third-party rights;
- use Justibly to harass, defraud or discriminate against any person;
- reverse-engineer, probe or attack our infrastructure.
9. Payments and refunds
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. We use third-party payment processors; your card details are not stored on Justibly servers. Refunds are granted within 14 days of purchase for unused subscription periods, at our discretion for partial periods.
10. Liability
Justibly is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by South African law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or reputational loss arising from your use of the site, from an attorney's conduct, or from the accuracy of any content posted by users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to Justibly in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ZAR 500, whichever is greater.
11. Termination
You can close your account at any time in your dashboard settings. We can suspend or close an account for violation of these terms, fraud, or where required by law. Termination does not cancel obligations that by their nature survive (for example, payment for services already rendered).
12. Dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Before launching any claim, you agree to contact us in writing at [email protected] and attempt good-faith resolution for 30 days. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by banner or email. Continued use of Justibly after a change means you accept the revised terms.
