History The firm was founded by Dr. W A Hahn in 1951 while he was engaged in conducting international licence negotiations for SASOL (South Africa's oil-from-coal giant) and setting up SASOL's patent and documentation department. Dr. H.H. Hahn joined the firm and qualified as a patent agent in 1959 and became a partner of the firm in 1961. From these beginnings the firm grew steadily and continues to do so. During 1996 a decision was taken to focus the firm exclusivley in the specialised Intellectual Property law field so as to enable the firm to pursue those activities it knows best. These include the registration, valuation and protection of intellectual and other property rights on behalf of its national and international clients and associates and the provision of expert and practical advice regarding intellectual property, international trade and the environment. Office Hours: Mon - Thurs: 08h00 to 16h30 Friday: 08h00 to 14h30 We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays although our professional staff can often be reached on their emails after hours or by prior arrangement.
