About Ritzema

Ritz grew up in Paarl where he matriculated at Paarl Boy’s High. He obtained his B.Com and LL.B degrees from Stellenbosch University and was admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa in 1996. Ritz joined Van der Spuy & Partners in 1994, becoming a partner in 1998. In addition to property transactions, Ritz has extensive knowledge and experience in labour and employment law as well the drafting of commercial contracts, ante nuptial contracts and wills. He is a trustee of the Hope and Reconciliation Trust as well as the Hugenote Gedenkskool. He also serves as a director of the Helpmekaar Studiefonds. Ritz’s approach to the law is client focused. He is dedicated to safeguarding their needs and interests and ensures that his clients receive the best outcome that the law has to offer. When he is not behind his desk, you will find Ritz adventuring in the great outdoors with his wife and four sons.
