About Nico

Nico graduated from Stellenbosch University in 1979 with a BA LLB degree. He was admitted as an attorney in 1985 and has the right of appearance in the High Court. Nico’s career includes tenures as Senior Prosecutor in Upington, Regional Court Prosecutor in Kimberley and State Advocate at the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Kwazulu Natal. He has been a director of Miller Bosman Le Roux Hill since 1987, where he specialises in High Court Litigation. Nico has retained his academic presence throughout, lecturing part time for candidate attorneys for the past 14 years, and is a part time lecturer and examiner at the University of Cape Town's School for Legal Practice. A member of the Law Societies High Court Committee, he is also an examiner for the attorneys entrance examination. An avid sports player, Nico serves as the president of the Strand Tennis Club, has run the Comrades and Two Oceans marathons, and cycled the Cape Argus Tour. He is a member of the Western Province Rugby Referees Association. Nico serves the community as a member of various school and church committees, and as a commissioner of the Small Claims Court. He and his wife Ragie have two children, Mari and Johan.
