Leon van der Riel

About Leon

Leon obtained his B Iuris and B Proc degrees with the University of South Africa. He completed his national service in the South African Police Services where after he managed to secure a bursary with the Department of Justice to become a prosecutor. He however resigned and held positions as a forensic auditor, legal advisor and compliance officer with Old Mutual and Metropolitan during the 12 years he served in the Financial Services Industry. During this time Leon also completed a number of diplomas and certificates relevant to the industry with the Universities of the Free State (UFS) and Cape Town (UCT). Leon completed his articles with Venter Van Eeden Incorporated and was admitted as an attorney in 2010. He currently holds the position of Associate with Venter Van Eeden Inc. Leon has lived in the Northern Suburbs since 1988.
