About Stephen

Stephen is a dual Irish/South African national with over 20 years of experience in intellectual property, international trade, and offshoring. He graduated with a B.A and LLB in 1996, from Wits, earning the John & Kernick Prize for the top mark in Intellectual Property and articled under Allan Levin, SA's leading commercial litigation specialist Euromoney in 1996. After admission, he traveled extensively and founded sa-active.com. In 2003 Stephen started KWP Attorneys and spent much time in the UK and Ireland, developing offshore and carbon finance structures. Stephen has worked extensively with Dr Barry Spitz, the world's leading exponent on Offshoring and the author of "Tax Magic" in advising South African clients on offshoring structures. He is also a Trustee and pro bono legal advisor to Rhino Revolution Hoedspruit and founder of Emerald Energy Africa an initiative to promote greening and renewable energy throughout South Africa.
