Thekiso Maodi is a director in GMI’s Public law and Commercial Litigation and Employment Law Departments. Thekiso served his articles at Tau Phalane Attorneys and was admitted as Attorney in November 2001. He then joined the Road Accident Fund from 2001 to 2007, initially as a Claims Handler and later as Senior Litigation Officer charged with high-value claims, as well as supervision over Claims Handlers in his Section. Thekiso then went on to practice at Fourie Fismer Incorporated from 2007 – 2013 where he held the positions of Associate, Senior Associate and Associate Director. In January 2014 Thekiso commenced employment with GMI as a Director in the Commercial Litigation and Public Law Department of the firm. Thekiso has immense passion and tenacity for a great variety of legal disciplines. However, his main focus is public law, constitutional law as well as employment law. He commands technical expertise in the legal fields below.
