About Roy

Roy has practiced in Litigation since his admission. He has managed contractual, delictual and administrative disputes for several organisations. He has also provided litigation services to financial institutions relating to enforcement of loan agreements, suspensive sale agreements, mortgage bonds and notarial bonds. Roy practiced as an attorney for more than 10 years after his admission whereafter he took up a position as a senior legal advisor at a consumer protection regulatory body, before joining W Attorneys. Roy has undertaken civil litigation on behalf of several South African regulators, across various platforms from tribunals to the Constitutional Court, in action and application proceedings brought by and against the regulators. He has regularly appeared and argued matters in the National Consumer Tribunal. His experience includes statutory interpretation disputes, Competition Law disputes, administrative law disputes, and enforcement of our clients' regulatory mandates.
