After matriculating from Ermelo High School, he pursued his B.Proc degree at the University of Pretoria, laying the foundation for a career defined by excellence and dedication. While studying part-time, Leon completed his articles of clerkship at Shapiro & De Meyer Inc., where he had the privilege of learning from some of the most respected names in the profession—Mr Hentie Serfontein, Mr Louis Shapiro, and Mr Olaff de Meyer. Under their guidance, he honed his skills and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1999. Leon has since gained extensive experience in Family Law, handling complex divorce cases, maintenance disputes, and domestic violence matters. His expertise, strategic approach, and deep understanding of the law have made him a trusted advocate for clients facing life-changing legal challenges. As one of the founding partners of Shapiro & Haasbroek Inc., Leon plays a key role in leading the firm with integrity, professionalism, and a client-focused approach.
