Charl is a skilled litigator with right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa and he also has extensive experience in international arbitration. He is a recognised specialist in franchise and intellectual property law and personally represents MacRobert on the legal panel of the Franchise Association of South Africa (FASA) as well as the National Consumer Commission (NCC.) As a corporate lawyer, he routinely represents financial institutions, industrialists, media owners and other local and international corporate entities. Charl is well versed in all aspects of commercial law, including company law and the law as it applies to insolvencies and business rescue. He also takes advantage of his professional experience in film production to assist clients in areas with reference to entertainment and media law and also represents the Film and Publications Board (FPB) and National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF.)
