About Chanel

Chanel obtained her B.Com (Law) degree in 2018 from the University of Stellenbosch after majoring in Accounting and Tax, and her LLB degree in 2020 from the same institution. During her studies, she became involved in her university residence leadership and mentorship programs and joined the Stellenbosch Chapter of the Golden Key organisation. As part of her membership with Golden Key, Chanel served on their subcommittee by assisting the chapter to organise its events and taking part in their community service initiatives. In her final year of her LLB, Chanel was encouraged to publish a dissertation written on the new Public Procurement Law Bill, which has since appeared as a journal article in the African Public Procurement Law Journal of 2021. Chanel commenced her Practical Vocational Training with MacRobert Attorneys in 2022 where she rotated to the Corporate Department twice, the Third Party Department and the Professional Indemnity Deparment. Chanel completed her Training in the beginning of 2024 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in February of 2024. She has been retained as an associated in the Professional Indemnity Department at the Pretoria office and looks forward to gaining further experience in the litigious and non-litigious aspects of professional indemnity and medical law.
