About Anel

Anel Gray is a director at GMI. She has over 27 years’ experience in workplace law and dispute resolution. Anel can thus advise you on the full spectrum of legal scenarios pertaining to the workplace, employment and industrial relations. She is adept at assisting clients with general labour-related legal concerns, dispute resolution mechanisms (such as internal disciplinary procedures), fair labour practice and employment equity. She also specialises in labour litigation before the CCMA, Bargaining Councils and the Labour Court. After working as a junior legal advisor upon completing her clerkship articles, Anel acquired extensive experience in fields including business management, corporate and commercial transactions and dispute resolution. Prior to joining GMI as an associate in the Employment Law Department in 2006, she had established her own law firm on the East Rand. Her firm specialised in employment law and labour litigation. Anel was appointed as a Director in the department in 2009. Anel is passionate about equitable and fair dispute resolution, and regularly serves as an external chairperson for internal disciplinary and appeal grievance inquiries.
