About Liezl

Liezl was admitted as an attorney in 2011 and has since practised exclusively in the field of Safety, Health and Environmental (“SHE”) law. Her expertise includes SHE System Development, SHE Legal Compliance Audits, SHE Legal Opinions and Advice, Administrative Processes and Litigation regarding SHE-related matters as well as SHE Legal Training. Liezl’s client fields include amongst others, heavy industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, tobacco, construction, transport, food, agriculture, chemical, entertainment, tourism, waste management and mining industries. Before deciding to become a lawyer Liezl quickly found a passion for the legal field by gaining experience working in various legal departments at several legal firms. With a mindset to further her career in the legal field, Liezl enrolled at UNISA to obtain her LLB and completed her articles at Cameron Cross Inc. under the mentorship of James Cross. After completing her articles she spent some time consulting on and developing SHE-related and Wellness Management Systems for the Construction and Mining Industry before settling as the Head of Legal at Green Gain Consulting. In 2018 Liezl set a new course, opening her own legal firm that practised exclusively in the fields of SHE Law, nonetheless, her career path came full circle when she re-joined her mentors at Tabacks as a Director in March 2019.
