About Monique

Monique van der Merwe matriculated from High School DF Malherbe in 2003. She completed her B Comm LLB degree in 2008 at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. She commenced her legal career as a candidate attorney at Van Rooyen & Efstratiou Attorneys where she was also appointed as a Professional Assistant after completing her articles. She was admitted as an attorney in 2011. During her employ at Van Rooyen & Efstratiou she gained valuable knowledge in various areas of law such as Debt Collection, Family Law, Administration of Deceased Estates and General Civil Litigation. During the latter part of 2011 she joined Legal Expenses Insurance SA Ltd (Legalwise) as a Legal Counsellor, where she was promoted to Senior Legal Counsellor and was responsible to ensure that clients receive the highest level of service. DTS Attorneys appointed Monique during March 2017 where she will pursue her career in Conveyancing.
